Tranzlaty ("we", "our", "us") is a language learning application registered in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

By creating an account or using Tranzlaty, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

3. Account & Authentication

Tranzlaty uses third-party social login providers for account creation and sign-in:

  • Sign in with Apple — operated by Apple Inc.
  • Sign in with Google — operated by Google LLC

When you sign in through one of these providers, we receive only your name and email address. We do not receive or store your password. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle your credentials during the sign-in process.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your Tranzlaty account
  • Deliver books and translations in your preferred language
  • Analyse aggregated usage patterns to improve our book library and app features
  • Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs using crash reports
  • Respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising. Tranzlaty does not display ads.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)

Firebase collects usage analytics and crash reports on our behalf. This data is used solely to improve the app and is not shared for advertising purposes. You can learn more about how Google handles data in their Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store (In-App Purchases)

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment or financial information. Apple's handling of payment data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your account information (name, email, language preference) is stored on our servers located in the United Kingdom. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.

Your reading progress is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. This means reading progress does not sync across devices and will be lost if you uninstall the app or switch devices.

7. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United Kingdom. If you access Tranzlaty from outside the UK, your information (name and email) will be transferred to and stored in the UK. Analytics and crash data processed by Firebase may be stored in data centres operated by Google in various locations worldwide, in accordance with Google's data processing terms.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer.

Aggregated, anonymised analytics data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely to help us understand long-term usage trends.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to certain types of processing, such as analytics
  • Restriction — request that we restrict how we process your data

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom

We process your personal data on the basis of contractual necessity (to provide you with the service) and legitimate interest (analytics to improve the app). If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For users in California (CCPA)

We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what personal data we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

10. Children's Privacy

Tranzlaty is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means before the changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
